Northwest Savings Bank program rewards Spikes fans

"Make the Switch" at the ballpark to receive Spikes T-Shirt Jersey
June 14, 2011
The State College Spikes and Northwest Savings Bank will team up this summer to help encourage fans to "Make the Switch" at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

The Northwest Savings Bank "Make the Switch" Program will take place at all 38 Spikes home games this season. Fans will be encouraged to bring in apparel from any professional or collegiate sports team to trade in for a brand new Spikes T-Shirt Jersey! The drop-off area for fans' shirts will be located directly behind home plate next to the Collegiate Pride Customer Service Center.

Northwest Savings Bank will donate every piece of clothing that fans donate as part of the program to the Goodwill Industries International network of stores, including the State College Goodwill location.

"Northwest is a proud supporter of the State College Spikes," said Shawn Walker, Northwest Savings Bank Vice President of Marketing. Like us, Minor League Baseball and the Spikes share a commitment to the local communities we serve. Northwest is pleased to be a player on State College's and Centre County's hometown team. Together, we look forward to another season of America's favorite pastime and Centre County's favorite summertime experience."

The "Make the Switch" program will be promoted throughout the summer during Spikes' home games, on the Spikes Radio Network, in the Spikes Gameday Program and by visiting the Community section of StateCollegeSpikes.com.

The Spikes open the 2011 Season at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park on Sunday, June 19th against the rival Williamsport Crosscutters (Philadelphia Phillies' Affiliate). Single-game tickets for the Home Opener and all 38 Spikes regular season home games are currently on sale through the Spikes Box Office by calling (814) 272-1711 or by visiting in person weekdays from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Fans can also buy and print single-game tickets by clicking here.
