Halloween with the Hooks October 27

CORPUS CHRISTI - The Third Annual Halloween with the Hooks Celebration, presented by Ashley HomeStore, is set for October 27.

 

Whataburger Field gates open at 6 p.m. that Thursday evening, and entertainment runs until 9.

 

"We're excited to partner with Ashley HomeStore on this family-friendly event," Hooks GM Michael Wood said. "We expect to have about 30 sponsors and non-profits participate in the kids' candy distribution. We're planning for a number of other attractions to engage young families."

 

Among the various activities on Stripes Diamond and in the Driscoll Health Plan Kids Zone:

 

• Bounce House
• Corn Hole
• Playground
• Obstacle Course
• Rockwall
• Trampoline

 

Kieschnick's Korner will be the site of additional kid-centered games and contests.

 

Back by popular demand are a costume contest and Halloween-themed video. This year's selection is from the Scooby Doo archives.

 

Admission to Halloween with the Hooks is free. Guests are encouraged to donate a canned food item for the Food Bank of Corpus Christi.
