Treanor To Coach In All-Star Game

Manager Selected To Triple-A All-Star Coaching Staff

INDIANAPOLIS -- The International League has announced that Indianapolis Indians manager Dean Treanor will be a part of the league's All-Star coaching staff for the 2011 Triple-A All Star Game in Salt Lake City, Utah on Friday, July 14.

Treanor has piloted the Indians to a 35-36 mark as of June 20 in his first year at the helm. Treanor has been a Minor League instructor for 24 seasons, including six seasons as skipper of the Pacific Coast League's Calgary Cannons (2002) and Albuquerque Isotopes (2003, 2005-08). Treanor was also the manager of the 2007 Pacific Coast League All-Star team in Albuquerque.

Mike Sarbaugh, the second-year skipper of the Columbus Clippers, will manage the IL squad along with Treanor and Charlotte Knights pitching coach Rich Dotson. Albuquerque Isotopes manager Lorenzo Bundy will lead the Pacific Coast League squad, while Tommy Gregg of the Omaha Storm Chasers and Rich Gale from the Nashville Sounds are slated to join Bundy.
