FORT MILL, S.C.  The Charlotte Knights are pleased to announce the 2011 Homer's Heroes Tug-O-War Challenge. Homer's Heroes made its first appearance last season at the home of the Charlotte Knights and what a great success it was! Local police and fire departments will compete in a single elimination tournament style competition in hopes to capture Homer's Heroes Cup and bragging rights for a year. Teams will be selling tickets to raise money for their respected charities.

The 2011 Homer's Heroes tournament will take place at the Charlotte Knights home game on Saturday, July 16th, 2011, on the warning track prior to the game. The Championship round will be at the conclusion of the baseball game and fireworks to follow.
