Well, the R-Phils have you covered. Ever want to own a game-worn autographed jersey from one of your favorite R-Phils players?

Beginning on Thursday, July 7, the R-Phils are auctioning-off an autographed game-worn Carlos Carrasco jersey. Here’s your chance to own this great collector’s item!

Description: Carlos Carrasco autographed game-worn red jersey. #40 jersey was worn by Carrasco during the 2008 season with the Reading Phillies. Carrasco is currently a starting pitcher for the Cleveland Indians. Carrasco signed the back of the jersey inside the number 4. The jersey is a size 50 and was made by Rawlings.

The starting bid for this limited edition collector’s item is just $200. Biding will conclude on July 13 at 9:00 p.m., so make sure you get you bid before it closes.

Carrasco was originally signed as a 16-year-old out of Venezuela in 2003. The righty was ranked as the best prospect in the Phillies organization by Baseball America in both 2007 and 2008. This season, the young Venezuelan righty is showing people that those rankings were spot on – just like his stuff has been.

As of July 7, 2011, the Indians’ hurler has won four of his last six starts and seven of his last 10 to improve to 8-5 with a 3.95 ERA on the season (16 starts). His two best outings of the season have come in June, and the Venezuelan native continues to improve in every outing.

On June 7 against Minnesota, Carrasco pitched into the ninth inning and allowed just three hits over 8.1 shutout frames en-route to his fifth win of the year.

More recently, on June 13, Carrasco dazzled in the Bronx, as he tossed seven scoreless innings against the Yankees at Yankee Stadium to notch his second win in June (3 starts). His numbers on the road this season have been brilliant (4-0, 2.88 ERA over seven starts).

In 2011, as a 24-year-old, Carrasco is making a case that he is one of the brightest young starters on one of the brightest young teams in the Majors this season.
