Post-Game Faith Panel Highlights Upcoming All Faith Night
The post-game panel will be mediated by former University of Oregon and NFL punter Josh Bidwell. The panelists include Emeralds outfielder Kyle Gaedele, Yakima Bears second baseman and former Duck Danny Pulfer, current Ducks offensive lineman Ryan Clanton and current Ducks volleyball player Alaina Bergsma. The post-game panel will also feature a special message from former NFL coach Tony Dungy. Bios of the panelists are found below:
Kyle Gaedele, Eugene Emeralds Outfielder- Gaedele joins the Emeralds from Valpraiso University after being selected by the San Diego Padres in the sixth round of the 2011 first-year player draft. The 21-year old resides in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Danny Pulfer, Yakima Bears Second Baseman- Pulfer joins the Yakima Bears after three seasons with the Oregon Ducks. He was selected in the 19th round of the 2011 first-year player draft and resides in Cypress, California. While at Oregon, he was a 2010 Pac-10 Honorable Mention and majored in political science.
Alaina Bergsma, Ducks Volleyball Outside Hitter- Bergsma returns to the Ducks in 2011 as the team's top outside hitter and one of the nation's best after being tabbed to the USA Volleyball A2 National Team in spring of 2011. The All-Pac-10 Honorable Mention joined the Ducks in the spring of 2010 after transferring from Loyola Marymount. In 2009 she was considered one of the nation's top hitters and serving specialists as a redshirt freshman. Bergsma is majoring in sports business and resides in Chandler, Arizona.
Ryan Clanton, Ducks Football Offensive Lineman-Ryan Clanton first enrolled at Oregon for start of 2010 winter term allowing him to participate in spring drills where he paced all offensive lineman during winter workouts with a 375-lb bench press. Before Oregon, Clanton splayed for head coach George Rush at City College of San Francisco, the same junior college program that produced notable Ducks Jeremiah Masoli, Blake Ferras and Matthew Harper. Clanton resides in Bakersfield, California with his parents and two sisters.
Sunday, July 10th is also a PeaceHealth Medical Group Throwback Sunday featuring the Emeralds retro uniforms, $1.00 hot dogs and bottomless popcorn. Also, don't forget that kids run the bases every Sunday!
