White Sox Pitcher John Danks with Knights on Rehab Assignment

FORT MILL, S.C. - Chicago White Sox left handed pitcher John Danks is scheduled to make a rehab start for the Charlotte Knights on Friday, July 15.  The Knights will be hosting the Louisville Bats, Triple-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, at 7:15 PM.

John Danks is the older brother of Knights centerfielder Jordan Danks.  The elder Danks made his first rehab start for the Knights this past Sunday in Gwinnett pitching 3.0 innings allowing two earned runs off three hits in a no decision against the Braves.  John Danks has had three consecutive 10 win seasons for the White Sox and last season set career highs in wins (15), IP (213.0) and strikeouts (162).  He is rehabbing a strained right oblique.

Jordan Danks is in his second season with the Knights and was rated as the Best Defensive Outfielder in the White Sox minor league system entering the season by Baseball America.  Jordan Danks is hitting .260 (74-285) with 10 home runs and 42 RBI for the Knights.

The Danks brothers are reunited on the same team for the first time since they starred together at Round Rock (Round Rock, Texas) High School.

Both players are scheduled to be available to the media on Thursday, July 14 from 3:15 PM - 4:00 PM.
