Voyagers to raise funds for Animal Foundation with 'Dog Days'

July 26, 2011
Great Falls - As August approaches, so too approach the dog days of summer, the time between July and August when heat hits its highest and laziness (and air conditioning) works overtime. But for the Great Falls Voyagers, the Dog Days of Summer means just that - a time to celebrate man's best friend.

The Second Annual Dog Days of Summer event, presented by Best Friends Animal Hospital, is Tuesday, August 2nd as the Voyagers play host to the 2010 Pioneer League Champion Helena Brewers.

Dogs get into Centene Stadium for just $1 with proceeds benefitting the Great Falls Animal Foundation.

"It's another way for us to give back," Voyagers General Manager Kattie Swartz said. "We want to do everything we can to welcome dog owners to the park while helping the Animal Foundation thrive."

Best Friends Animal Hospital will make Centene Stadium 'dog-friendly' by providing everything from water bowls throughout the stadium to reusable doggie bags. Fans will also receive raffle tickets to win prizes for their furry friends.

Come out and get in on the fun Tuesday, August 2nd for the Dog Days of Summer presented by Best Friends Animal Hospital. Tickets are available online at gfvoyagers.com, on the phone at 452-5311, or at the gate on the day of the game. Gates open at 6 p.m. with first pitch against the Brewers at 7 p.m.
