Alejandro De Aza Recalled by White Sox
De Aza Joins White Sox Major League Roster
FORT MILL, S.C. - Prior to today's game vs. Indianapolis, outfielder Alejandro De Aza was recalled from the Charlotte Knights by the Chicago White Sox and placed on the White Sox active roster.
De Aza, 27, was hitting .322 (124-385) with 29 doubles, five triples, nine home runs and 37 RBI in 98 games with the Knights this season. He ranks among the International League leaders in hits (1st, 124), total bases (1st, 190), average (2nd), runs scored (T2nd, 64), doubles (T3rd), stolen bases (5th, 22) and triples (T5th).
The 6-foot-0, 190-pounder appeared in 19 games with the White Sox in 2010, going 9-30 (.300) with three doubles and seven runs scored. He is a .242 (47-194) hitter in 82 major-league games with Florida (2007, '09) and the White Sox (2010).
