Fresno fans want Cher theme night
Born Cheryl Sarkisian on May 20, 1946, Cher is one of the most beloved entertainers of the past half century. After attending Fresno High School, she went on to win an Academy Award, a Grammy, an Emmy and three Golden Globe awards. Beginning with her breakthrough as part of the Sonny & Cher duo, Cher scored many top ten recordings and starred in numerous television series. Her foray into feature films landed her the 1988 Best Actress Academy Award for her role in Moonstruck.
With the announcement of Cher as the winner of the Fresno Famous Fan Vote, the Grizzlies staff will now have one week to put together an all-out theme night on April 27. All fans in attendance on Friday night will also be treated to Friday Night Fireworks, presented by the California Highway Patrol. In addition to fireworks and the Cher tribute, the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive Rally Towels courtesy of Rally's.
