JACKSON, TN. (AUGUST 2, 2011) - The Seattle Mariners have made the following roster move affecting the Jackson Generals roster. RHP Tom WIlhelmsen has been recalled by the Seattle Marines and will be in will be in uniform (#54) and available for tonight's 7:10 pm (PT) game vs. the Oakland Athletics in Seattle. RHP Stephen Penney has been activated from the temporary inactive list and will be active for tonight's game. RHP Moises Hernandez will make the start tonight in place of Wilhelmesen.

Wilhelmsen, 27, made the Mariners Opening Day roster after having not pitched in affiliated professional baseball from 2005-2009. He appeared in 8 games with Seattle going 0-0 with a 5.59 ERA (6 ER, 9.2 IP). He made his Major League debut April 3 at Oakland. He was optioned to Jackson on May 17. In 14 appearances (12 starts) with the Generals, Wilhelmsen went 4-5 with a 5.49 ERA (37 ER, 60.2 IP).

Penney, 24 was placed on the temporary inactive list on July 15th. Penney has made 27 appearances for Jackson this season with a 4-2 record, 2 saves, 7 holds and a 5.29 ERA.
