'Golden Age' Bisons Exhibit at Visitors Center

Now through September 3, "The Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame Remembers the Golden Age of Bison Baseball," an exhibit of Buffalo Bisons items spanning more than 100 years, will be on display in the Buffalo Niagara Visitors Center Gallery, located within the Market Arcade Building at 617 Main St. in Buffalo.

The exhibit tells the story of Buffalo Bisons baseball from its infancy in 1877, through seasons at Offerman Stadium and War Memorial Stadium, to the opening of Pilot Field (now Coca-Cola Field) in 1987. Artifacts on display include uniforms, equipment, programs, tickets, newspaper clippings and more.

Regular gallery hours are as follows:
Monday through Friday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
