RiverDogs Home Aug. 14-17

August 10, 2011

CHARLESTON, SC - Summer is rapidly drawing to a close and school is about to go back in session, and there's no better way to end the season on a high note than by taking the family to Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park for Charleston RiverDogs baseball.  From August 14-17, Charleston's favorite professional sports team plays host to the Hickory Crawdads for a four-game series.

Charleston County Parks and Recreation Commission Family Sunday ushers in the slate, as fans can enjoy the great perks of FREE PARKING and KIDS EAT FREE, thanks to Pepsi.

On Monday, Blue from the popular children's show, Blue's Clues, will be in attendance.  While watching future Yankees stars square off against the defending American League champion Texas Rangers' affiliate, fans can salute the unconventional workers of the Lowcountry on Tuesday, Aug. 16.  The inaugural Dirty Jobs Night tips a cap to Mike Rowe's popular Discovery Channel series, and will feature promotions accordingly themed.

The RiverDogs lay down the law in the finale of the homestand on Wednesday, Aug. 17's Law Enforcement Night.  Local police chiefs will start the festivities by tossing ceremonial first pitches, and all police officers and their families can watch the RiverDogs at no cost.

The remainder of the homestand slate is as follows:
