Army veteran wins hairy back contest

Woodbridge, VA -- 47-year old Master Sergeant Jim Coffey, a resident of Fairfax, Virginia, had the 'Hairiest Back at the Ballpark' on Thursday, August 25 and is the winner of a laser hair removal treatment valued at $2,500 courtesy of Cosmetic & Laser Services of Dr. Don Brideau and Dr. Foster Montalbano of Springfield Family Medicine. Coffey, a married father of four, is a 26-year veteran of the United States Army and is a drummer with The Old Guard Fife & Drum Corp based at Ft. Myer, Virginia.

Coffey was one of five contestants to bare their hairy backs in the first-ever "Hairiest Back at the Ballpark" contest at Pfitzner stadium. The winner was determined by fan applause, and Coffey was the winner by a landslide.

A second winning fan was selected through a random drawing during the game. The winner of the drawing won a complimentary laser procedure valued at $1,200 which can be used for bikini line hair removal, eyebrow separation, mustache removal, wrinkle reduction or acne treatment.
