Goldklang group featured in current issue of Newsweek

Article highlights success of Charleston RiverDogs ownership group in development of minor league baseball as a growth industry
May 3, 2005
CHARLESTON, SC -- The current issue of Newsweek, on sale through May 9, carries a feature story on the growth and success of minor league baseball, focusing on the Goldklang Group in particular.

The article, written by noted sports journalist Alan Schwarz, references the Group's four franchises (Charleston RiverDogs, Ft. Myers Miracle, St. Paul Saints and Hudson Valley Renegades), as well as their consulting agreement with the Brockton Rox, as being amongst the most innovative and successful within the industry.

Schwarz indicates that the Group, headed by partners Marv Goldklang, Mike Veeck and actor Bill Murray, have been at the forefront of change in the minor league baseball landscape - both at the corporate and grass roots level, combining the leadership of Goldklang with the creative genius of Veeck and the well-established and perpetually funny antics of Murray.

The article is available in the May 9 edition of Newsweek, and also can be accessed through their website at newsweek.com.
