Brandon Wood returns to Bees

SALT LAKE CITY -- The Salt Lake Bees announced today that Chone Figgins has completed his rehab assignment with the team and will return to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The Bees also announced that infielder Brandon Wood has been optioned back to Salt Lake, while outfielder Coby Smith was returned to extended spring training.

In four games with the Bees, Figgins was 5 for 14 with one double and one RBI. Wood, who made his Major League debut with the Angels, started two games, going 1 for 8 with his first hit coming off Chicago White Sox reliever Bobby Jenks in his last at-bat on Sunday. Coby Smith, brother of Bees outfielder Casey Smith, appeared in three games with Salt Lake and registered two RBIs.
