RedHawks rally for win

Miguel Ojeda has walk-off base hit

Oklahoma rallied for three runs, including one in the ninth, in the final three innings for a come-from-behind 4-3 win against Albuquerque Wednesday in front of a sellout crowd of 13,066 AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. Miguel Ojeda's walk-off RBI single scored David Matranga to give the RedHawks the win.

The Isotopes built a 3-1 lead by scoring runs in the second, third and sixth innings. Todd Sears and Robert Andino led the way for Albuquerque with three hits apiece.

The RedHawks trailed by two in the seventh when they scored two runs. Miguel Ojeda and Freddy Guzman each had an RBI in the inning.

In the ninth, Matranga singled with one out and advanced to second on a pass ball. On the next pitch, Ojeda lined a base hit into left to bring the winning run home.

Albuquerque (13-13) got a solid start from Jeff Fulchino who went six innnings, allowing only three runs on five hits. Rich Dorman (1-1) pitched the ninth for the loss.

Oklahoma (13-13) starter John Koronka tossed his third straight quality start, allowing three runs on nine hits in seven innings. Steve Rowe (2-0) worked to scoreless innings for the win.

The same two teams play Thursday night at 7:05 CDT at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark.
