Amador, Cubs win in 10

Chris Amador went 3-for-6 with a homer and scored the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning as Daytona edged St. Lucie, 7-6, on Friday.

Amador hit a two-run shot in the fourth and singled in the sixth before delivering a base hit off Grady Hinchman (0-1) with one out in the 10th.

Matt Matulia walked to set up Tyler Colvin's RBI single to center field as the Cubs (15-13) walked off with their second straight one-run win over the Mets (12-16).

On Thursday, Mark Reed came through with an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth to give Daytona a 5-4 win.

Cubs starter Jeff Samardzija allowed five runs on 11 hits with three strikeouts in five innings. Jon Mueller (2-1) picked up the win by tossing a perfect 10th after Jerry Blevins fanned three over two one-hit frames.

Daniel Murphy went 2-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored for the Mets, who won Wednesday's series opener, 4-3. --Michael Blinn/MLB.com
