Tulsa Time: 60 Second Interview With Mike Mitchell

Besides seeing the Drillers run onto ONEOK Field before every game, getting an autograph here and there, or even taking a picture with one of the players, what do you really know about the 2011 Tulsa Driller players? It is quite hard for Drillers fans to get to know the players throughout the year.

Where is there favorite restaurant in Tulsa? Do you have a pre-game routine? These are just a few of the questions we are going to ask the players when we sit down with them during the 2011 season. During the interview we will give each player one minute to answer every possible question they can.

Mike Mitchell was selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 25th round of the 2007 First Year Player Draft. He is currently in his second year with the Drillers, as the outfielder hit .230 in 152 at-bats in his first year in Tulsa. As of late Mitchell is starting to regain the speed and form he showed last year hitting .267, with one home run and four RBI's in his last ten games. Mitchell is known for his speed, nabbing 10 steals in only 64 games this season.

MM: "Hip-Hop and Rap."

MM: "Fresh Prince of Bel-Aire. Gotta rep Will Smith."

MM: "No Comment."

6. Who is your favorite non-baseball athlete?

MM: "Michael Jordan."

7. Who was your idol when you were growing up?

MM: "Willy Mays."

8. Do you have a pre-game routine?

MM: "Usually I just listen to some music after I hit in the cages."

9. What is your favorite meal?

MM: "I love sushi. Any kind."

10. What is your favorite thing about Tulsa?

MM: "The heat."

11. Who is the funniest Drillers teammate?

MM: "Jimmy Cesario."

12. Most embarrassing moment while playing?

MM: "I was stealing second base, slid into the bag, and my pants came down."

MM: "Skypey....and no I will not explain why."
