August 29, 2011
Harrisburg, PA - RHP Stephen Strasburg is expected to make his sixth MLB rehab start for the Washington Nationals on Thursday for the Harrisburg Senators at Metro Bank Park, when the Senators face the Portland Sea Dogs at 7:00 p.m. Strasburg highlights a night that also features the return of the Cowboy Monkeys and Thirsty Thursday, with $2 Coors Lights available throughout the ballpark.

Strasburg previously started three games for Hagerstown, one for Potomac, and most recently for Syracuse on Saturday. Strasburg started his professional career with the Senators last year making five starts overall with three at Metro Bank Park. Strasburg is recovering from Tommy John Surgery, which took place on September 3, 2010. He electrified the baseball world when he struck out 14 Pittsburgh Pirates in his major league debut on June 8, 2010 at Nationals Park.

Washington Nationals catcher, Ivan Rodriguez, is also scheduled to make a MLB rehab start with the Harrisburg Senators on Tuesday night. The major league veteran is recovering from tightness of the right oblique and has been on the disabled list since the beginning of July. He has made one start with Potomac, going 1 x 3 with a home run. Rodriguez signed with the Nationals at the end of the 2009 season as a free agent. Rodriguez has 2,842 hits, the most by a catcher in major league history.
