Round Rock tops PCL in attendance

More than 600,000 fans saw games at The Dell Diamond

ROUND ROCK, Texas -- For the first time since joining the Pacific Coast League in 2005, the Round Rock Express led the league in attendance this season. The Dell Diamond welcomed 618,261 fans in 2011, for a per-game average of 8,587. Round Rock has eclipsed the 600,000 total 11 times in the franchise's 12-year history.

Round Rock faces the Omaha Storm Chasers in the PCL's American Conference Championship Series. The Dell Diamond will host the first two games of the Best-of-5 series on Wednesday and Thursday with a 7:05 p.m. CDT first pitch each night. The series then shifts to Werner Park in Papillion, Neb. The winner of the Round Rock-Omaha series will face the winner of the Sacramento-Reno series in the PCL Championship Series.
