Storm Earn Highest Attendance for Second Straight Year

September 6, 2011
Over 225,000 fans came out to The Diamond this season, giving the Lake Elsinore Storm the highest attendance in the California League for the second straight year.

"We have the best fans in the Cal League," said Vice President/General Manager Chris Jones. "They showed it once again this season."

Lake Elsinore finished the year with 225,769 fans, 3000 more than second place San Jose and 8000 more than the Storm's league leading attendance in 2010. On average, almost 3300 Storm fans a night saw the Padres Cal League affiliate on way to their seventh straight postseason appearance.

The Storm begin their quest for a third Cal League championship on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 and will be at The Diamond on Thursday, September 8 at 7:05 PM. If a third and deciding game in the mini-series is necessary, it will be played in Lake Elsinore on Friday.

All playoff tickets are five dollars and can be purchased online at stormbaseball.com or by calling the ticket office at 951-245-4487.
