Sky Sox Ask for Support for Henniger Family
The Sky Sox ask the Colorado Springs community to lend their support to Rai Henniger and his family. The heart and soul of the Sky Sox organization, Henniger has suffered a serious accident that has him and his family working through a very difficult time. Before Saturday's game, the 47 year-old Henniger was setting up the pyrotechnics for that evening's baseball game when a sudden accident occurred. It left Henniger with serious injuries to his face and he was rushed to the hospital.
Rai has been a member of the Colorado Springs community and the Sky Sox family for over 17 years. Over that time, he has poured his heart and soul into putting smiles on people's faces. As the Sky Sox Senior Vice President of Marketing and Promotions, Rai serves as the team's on-field emcee and directs all the fun between inning events that entertain fans of all ages. Every fan that has come to the ballpark in the last 17 years knows Rai and has been touched in some way by his endless enthusiasm and energy.
At this time, the Sky Sox would like to ask all those fans who have come and enjoyed themselves while taking in a ballgame and watching Rai do his magic to think of him and his family in their time of need. We ask that you please keep Rai and his family in your thoughts and prayers and that you think of those moments when he made you smile.
All cards and well wishes are very much appreciated and can be sent to the Sky Sox office where they will be collected and passed along to the Henniger family. Please send them to:
