Durrington Brings Experience to Herd

May 21, 2007
Meet Trent Durrington. This is his first season playing with the Buffalo Bisons during his fourteen-year career. The Sydney, Australia native is a well-seasoned player who brings a wealth of experience to the Bisons. He has seen four seasons of major league action with the Anaheim Angels and Milwaukee Brewers.

As a strong utility player, Trent has played every position at least once including three innings as a pitcher. In 2006, Trent led the Pawtucket Red Sox's with thirty-two stolen bases. In his 1,251 career games, he has racked up an impressive 376 stolen bases. Trent's enjoyment of sports began with rugby. He didn't start playing baseball until he was thirteen. Trent says that if he hadn't become a baseball player, he would like to have become an engineer. Memorable moments for Trent have come from his play in the majors, including a game with Milwaukee where he had the opportunity to meet George W. Bush.

Trent Durrington continues to have an outstanding career. Last year, he represented Australia at the first World Baseball Classic. This year as a representative of the Buffalo Bisons, I think we can expect great things from him.
