Ron Cey To Sign Autographs at Cashman Field

LAS VEGAS: The Las Vegas 51s professional baseball team will host the Fresno Grizzlies, Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, on Saturday, June 9 at Cashman Field at 7:11 p.m.

The first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive a L.A. Dodger T-Shirt.

Dodger great Ron Cey will also be in attendance at Cashman Field. The former third baseman will throw out the ceremonial first pitch and be available for an autograph session prior to the game in the Club Level Restaurant.

Cey was part of a great Dodger infield that consisted of first baseman Steve Garvey, second baseman Davey Lopes and shortstop Bill Russell. All four played together from 1972-81.

Cey enjoyed an outstanding 17-year Major League career from 1971-87. He played 12 seasons with the Dodgers (1971-82) and was a member of the 1981 World Series Championship team that defeated the New York Yankees, 4-games-to-2. He played in a total of four World Series (1974, 1977, 1978, 1981).

He was also a member of the Chicago Cubs (1983-86) and Oakland (1987). He appeared in a total of 2,073 games and batted .261 (1,868-for-7,162) with 328 doubles, 316 home runs and 1,139 RBI.

He was a six-time National League All-Star from 1974-79. He established career highs in 1977 with 30 home runs and 110 RBI.
