Lynx blank Bulls

May 30, 2007
J.A. Happ and three relievers combined on a seven-hitter as Ottawa blanked Durham, 2-0, on Tuesday at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

Happ gave up two hits and struck out three in 3 1/3 innings before leaving with an injury.

John Ennis (3-0) recorded the win after allowing one hit and one walk with four strikeouts in 2 2/3 frames. The 27-year-old right-hander hasn't allowed a run since April 18 and extended his scoreless streak to 19 1/3 innings.

Kane Davis struck out two in a perfect seventh before Brian Sanches scattered four hits and fanned four over the final two frames for his ninth save.

Chris Roberson lifted a sacrifice fly in the sixth and Gary Burnham smacked an RBI double in the seventh to help the Lynx (23-25) snap a four-game skid. Burnham is 9-for-22 in his last six games to raise his batting average to .331.

Bulls starter J.P. Howell (3-5) took the loss after surrendering two runs -- one earned -- on four hits while fanning five and walking one in seven innings.
