Maloney Pipe Band To Lead Parade To Stadium
BINGHAMTON, NY - Leading up to the opening game of the Eastern Division Championship Series, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies will be holding a playoff pep rally on Wednesday at 4:00 PM at The Colonial, located on Court Street in downtown Binghamton. Fans are invited to attend the event free of charge.
The popular tavern will be offering half-price Happy Hour specials and hosting a performance by the Edward P. Maloney Memorial Pipe Band. Fans can purchase tickets to the Ponies playoff games throughout the event, with special discounted tickets available to Binghamton University students.
At 5:45 PM, the Maloney Memorial Pipe Band, along with Rowdy, the Ponies' rumbling mascot, will lead a parade from The Colonial to NYSEG Stadium for Game 1 of the Division Championship Series. State Street (from Court St to Henry St) and Henry Street (from State St to Fayette St) will be closed to traffic from 5:45 PM to 6:15 PM. The Ponies will kick off the best-of-five series against the Trenton Thunder at 6:35 PM.
