Seth Fortenberry went 3-for-6 with his 10th homer, a two-run shot in the fifth, and scored twice. Christopher Malec chipped in two hits and three runs scored, while Jose Gil and Luis Nunez slugged solo shots for the RiverDogs (30-28).

Charleston's Grant Duff (7-4) tossed six shutout innings, scattering four hits and four walks while fanning four. He has won back-to-back starts.
