Sea Dogs Name 95.5/95.9 FM WPEI as New Flagship Radio Station

Portland, Maine- The Portland Sea Dogs have announced that 95.5/ 95.9 FM WPEI will serve as the new flagship radio station for the U.S. Cellular Sea Dogs Radio Network.

All 142 regular season Portland Sea Dogs games, home and road will be broadcast live on WPEI 95.9 FM and WPPI 95.5 FM along with all Sea Dogs post-season action, if applicable. Network coverage will begin 20 minutes prior to first pitch on all affiliates with the Portland Sea Dogs pre-game show.

WPEI will serve as the flagship station for the U.S. Cellular Sea Dogs Radio Network, which consists of six stations creating one of the largest radio networks in the league. In addition to WPEI 95.9 FM (Portland) and WPPI 95.5 FM Sea Dogs' games can be heard on WEZR 1240 AM (Lewiston/ Auburn), WKTQ 1450 AM (South Paris/Norway), WTME 780 AM (Rumford), and WMYF 1380 AM (Portsmouth, NH). All games can also be heard worldwide via the internet on either www.seadogs.com or www.milb.com.

WPEI and WPPI are owned and operated by Atlantic Coast Radio and are part of the WEEI Sports Radio Network. The Atlantic Coast Radio Group also owns and operates Sports Radio WJJB 96.3 FM (BIG JAB), Sports Radio WPEI 95.5/95.9 FM, and News Talk WLOB 1310 AM. Atlantic Coast Radio is Portland's only locally owned and operated radio group and is the broadcast home for the following sports teams; the Maine Red Claws, the Portland Pirates, the University of Maine, and, continuing in their second decade with BIG JAB 96.3 FM, the Boston Red Sox.

Mike Antonellis returns for his eighth season as "The Voice of the Portland Sea Dogs" on the U.S. Cellular Sea Dogs Radio Network. The 2012 season will be his 16th season as a play-by-play broadcaster in Minor League Baseball. He was honored as the 2009 Eastern League Broadcaster of the Year. Additionally, Mike serves as the host of the Saturday Morning Jab on Big Jab Radio (96.3 FM and 1440 AM) part of the Atlantic Coast Radio Group.

The Sea Dogs will open the 2012 season on the road with a 4:05 PM doubleheader in Reading, Pennsylvania against the Reading Phillies. The home opener is slated for Thursday, April 12th at 6:00 PM against the Binghamton Mets at Hadlock Field. The 2012 season will be the Sea Dogs 19th year in Portland and tenth as a Boston Red Sox affiliate.

Individual tickets for the 2012 season will go on sale on Saturday, November 5th at 9:00 AM at the Hadlock Field Ticket Office. Phone and internet sales will begin at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 5th. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Sea Dogs Ticket Office at 207-879-9500 and online at www.seadogs.com. Ticket prices will remain the same for the fifth consecutive season. The Sea Dogs are Maine's most affordable professional sports entertainment.
