Knowles Inducted Into FSL Hall of Fame
A pitcher in the Major Leagues for 16 seasons, Darold was a member of the World Champion Oakland A's in 1972, 73, and 74. He also holds a Major League record as the only pitcher ever to appear in all 7 games of a World Series, which he did in 1973. He was an All-Star in 1969, a season in which he went 9-2 with a 2.24 ERA.
His playing career took him all across the country, as he had stints with Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington, Oakland, Chicago, Texas, Montreal, and St. Louis. The lefty finished his career with 66 Wins, 143 Saves, and a 3.12 ERA over 765 games.
He began coaching in the Florida State League in 1991 with the Clearwater Threshers, and he joined the Dunedin Blue Jays in 2006.
The Blue Jays would like to congratulate Darold Knowles for all of his success, and his recognition as a Florida State League Hall of Fame inductee.
