RIP Greg Halman, 1987-2011
Greg Halman died early Monday morning in the Netherlands. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Halman played for the High Desert Mavericks in 2008 before moving up to Double A West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx (now referred to as Jackson Generals). He played in 67 games with the Mavs hitting .268 with 19 home runs and 53 RBIs. After a great 2008 season, Halman was named Seattle's Minor League Player of the Year.
He made his Major League debut with the Mariners on September 23, 2010. During the 2011 season, Halman played in 35 games hitting .230 with 2 home runs and 6 RBIs.
