Rangers Return to The Dell Diamond
ROUND ROCK, Texas - The two-time defending American League champion Texas Rangers will play an exhibition game Monday, April 2, at The Dell Diamond against the organization's top minor league affiliate - the Round Rock Express. Gates are set to open at 4:30 p.m. CT; first pitch for the Rangers' first game in the Lone Star State since the World Series is scheduled for 6 p.m.
Reserved tickets and suite tickets are $28, home run porch tickets are $22, and lawn seating tickets are $12. A limited number of Intel Club tickets also are available at $40 each.
Full-season and Friday Fireworks ticket holders who have paid for their 2012 season tickets will have first opportunity to purchase their seasons for the April 2 exhibition game and will be invoiced in January. Tickets for the exhibition game will go on sale to the general public the same day 2012 individual game tickets go on sale in conjunction with the annual Express Open House the first Saturday of March.
"There is no better way to kick off another big season at The Dell Diamond than to host the defending American League champions," Express Executive Vice President and General Manager George King said. "Last year's exhibition game against the Rangers was a special event, and we expect nothing less with the top two levels of the Rangers organization once again on display for our fans."
Round Rock won the Pacific Coast League's American Southern Division in 2011, the franchise's first season as the Rangers' Triple-A affiliate. It was the club's first division title since 2006. The Express established a franchise record with 88 wins on the season and clinched the division title with two weeks remaining in the regular season. Round Rock manager Bobby Jones was named PCL Manager of the Year.

The Texas Rangers reached the World Series for the second consecutive season in 2011, falling in seven games to the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Express begin their 13th season and eighth season as a PCL member Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Iowa. Round Rock's home schedule begins Friday, April 13, as the Express host the Iowa Cubs and Omaha Storm Chasers in consecutive four-game series.
