Prices remain at 2011 rates, Saturday's move to 7:05
November 22, 2011
LOWELL, MA - The Lowell Spinners, Class A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, released their 2012 schedule Tuesday, which opens at LeLacheur Park Monday, June 18 against the Connecticut Tigers. The 2012 Lowell Spinners season is presented by Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union in conjunction with their 100 Anniversary celebration.

In releasing the 2012 schedule, the Spinners also announced ticket prices at LeLacheur Park for the upcoming season will remain as affordable as ever, with no change from the 2011 ticket pricing, the second consecutive season without a ticket increase.

"As we inch closer to the holidays, we are that much closer to the start of another season of Spinners baseball," said Spinners President and General Manager Tim Bawmann. "We are thrilled to help Jeanne D'Arc celebrate their 100 year anniversary, while also continuing to ensure families can enjoy the best entertainment in the Merrimack Valley at an affordable price."

After opening the 2012 season at LeLacheur Park, the Spinners make a quick two-game road trip to Norwich before returning to host the Vermont Lake Monsters June 22-24 in a weekend series. The team finishes the month on the road before returning home for the start of July.

It is a busy July at LeLacheur, including a weekend visit from the Staten Island Yankees July 14-16 amongst 17 home games for the month.

The team begins August with a stretch of six home games before welcoming the Brooklyn Cyclones August 7-9 in the team's only homestand before the All-Star Break. The team concludes the season with a flourish, playing 13-of-16 at home following the All-Star Break, concluding the home season August 30.

In announcing the schedule the team also announced the move of Saturday game times from 5:05 to 7:05 and the return of a pair of 1:05 Sunday starts.

"We wish to offer as much flexibility to our fans as possible in the schedule," said Bawmann. "The moving of Saturday game times avoids the warmer parts of the summer days, while the return of the 1:05 Sunday games allow families the opportunity to have a day at the park."

The complete 2012 schedule is available at www.lowellspinners.com, where tickets to select 2012 home games and Mini Plans will go on sale Thursday, November 24 at midnight to kick off the holiday season. Ticket sales will conclude Monday, December 19 until the full ticket release in March 2012.
