Lovgren Wins Paper Anvil
Lovgren Marketing Group took home two awards for their work with the Storm Chasers this past year. "The Big Event" - the announcement of the new branding and team name of the Omaha Storm Chasers - earned the agency an Award of Excellence in the category of Events and Observances: (Seven or fewer days) Business -- Services. An Award of Merit was earned for the work the agency did publicizing the Werner Park Opening weekend (April 16-17) in the same category. Lovgren has served as agency of record for the Omaha Storm Chasers for the past nine years.
"We are so fortunate to have Lovgren Marketing Group as a partner," said team president and general manager Martie Cordaro. "Linda and her entire staff share the same enthusiasm for Triple-A Baseball as our organization."
The "Big Event," held on November 15, 2010 at the La Vista Conference Center, attracted more than 1,000 fans and community supporters. All of Omaha's major news networks were on hand for the live announcement just after 6 p.m., which featured the unveiling of the Storm Chasers name, logos, mascots, jerseys and caps.
Lovgren Marketing Group also earned an Award of Excellence for the "Make the Right Move Omaha" campaign conducted on behalf of the Omaha Area Board of Realtors and an Award of Merit in the category of Public Service: Government for its work educating the public on the city of Omaha's new snow emergency campaign.
The Paper Anvil awards are given annually to honor Nebraska's public relations professionals for their work and are based on submissions that require strategic planning, media relations, creative examples and results information.
