Phillies Triple-A Pre-Season Schedule Released

With the football season in the rearview mirror and pitchers and catchers reporting in less than two weeks, it is beginning to feel more and more like baseball season. Monday was another step in that direction as the Phillies announced the Minor League pre-season schedule for all their full-season affiliates.

The Phillies Minor League camp opens March 1 at the Carpenter Complex in Clearwater, FL. The Phillies Triple-A team will play their first pre-season game vs. the Canadian Jr. Olympic Team on March 11 in St. Petersburg, FL. The Triple-A team will then play 16 games over the next 19 days against the Triple-A affiliates of the Toronto, Pittsburgh, New York (AL) and Detroit organizations before breaking camp April 1.

The IronPigs will travel to Reading for the 5th Annual '222 Showcase Game' on April 3 vs. the R-Phils to wrap up the pre-season.

Lehigh Valley, under the guidance of second year skipper Ryne Sandberg, will begin their quest for a second straight playoff berth on April 5 at 7:05 p.m. against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees at Coca-Cola Park.
