Iowa Drops First Two Games of Series
Ronny Cedeno extended his hitting streak to six games, with his sixth home run of the season, as the Iowa Cubs fell to the Oklahoma RedHawks, 10-5, Thursday night at Principal Park.
The Cubs took an early 2-0 lead on Buck Coats' two-run home run, but the Oklahoma RedHawks scored five runs in the top of the third and never looked back.
Scott Moore added a home run for the Cubs while Eric Patterson and Matt Murton tallied three hits in the losing effort.
Iowa's starting pitcher Les Walrond was tagged with the loss, giving up eight runs on nine hits over five innings.
Oklahoma's Mike Wood earned the win throwing seven innings and giving up three runs on seven hits.
