Service Electric to Broadcast 25 Games
(Reading, Pa.)---In conjunction with Service Electric Cable TV and Communications, the Reading Phillies, Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, have announced their schedule of televised games for the 2012 season.
Starting with the Baseballtown 222 Showcase between the Reading Phillies and Triple-A affiliate Lehigh Valley IronPigs on April 3, Service Electric will air 25 games throughout the upcoming season on its sports station, 2Sports. For the first-time, each 2Sports game will be broadcast in sparkling, crisp high-definition.

Back for another season in the booth for all R-Phils games on 2Sports will be longtime R-Phils radio broadcaster, Steve Degler. Degler, who served as the R-Phils primary radio voice since 1992, was the longest tenured broadcaster in the Eastern League before his departure in 2008. The Kutztown University product is now entering his fourth season handling analysis for SECTV 2Sports on all 72 Lehigh Valley IronPigs games.
Joining Degler in the R-Phils TV booth for his fourth season to handle analysis is Tim Neiman. Neiman brings with him nearly 30 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level, plus scouting experience with the Pirates and White Sox.
Based in Allentown, Pa., SECTV 2Sports produces the games which will also be carried by network affiliated Service Electric Cablevision, Service Electric Company, Blue Ridge Cable TV-11, Blue Ridge Cable TV-13, and WYLN-35. Overall, R-Phils game will be carried in more than one million homes.
The 2012 season will be the R-Phils seventh on SECTV 2Sports.
