Dust Devils Give Chalupa-Worthy Performance in 6-1 Victory

Tri-City Wins Third Straight
June 30, 2007
The Tri-City Dust Devils won their third straight game Friday night in convincing fashion, 6-1 over the Spokane Indians. Among the many highlights were the crowd of 3,031, Free Chalupa coupons from Taco Bell for the six-run effort, the Sportsman's Warehouse coupons for Darin Holcomb's first professional home run, the stellar performances by four Dust Devils pitchers, and the 15-hit offensive explosion by the Dust Devils' bats.

Tri-City starter Sheng-An Kuo (2-0) gave up just one run on four hits in 6 2/3 innings pitched, while Matt Reynolds, David Arnold, and Devin Collis finished the game with 2 1/3 hitless innings.

Helder Velazquez led a group of six Dust Devils with multi-hit games with three singles, while Radames Nazario hit two doubles. Holcomb's 3-run home run in the seventh gave the Dust Devils a 5-1 lead, while Everth Cabrera's single in the eighth drove in the Chalupa-clinching run.

The series with Spokane continues Saturday night. Yakima, Spokane, and Tri-City are all tied atop the Northwest League East with 4-7 records. Fans are encouraged to get their tickets for the second Fireworks Night of the season early, as there are less than 500 tickets left for the game.

Tickets can be purchased at the Dust Devils box office, by phone at 544-8789, online at www.dustdevilsbaseball.com, and at all TicketsWest outlets. Season tickets, mini-plans, and group tickets are also available at the box office and over the phone.
