Southside Market & BBQ Coming to The Dell

Legendary barbeque restaurant added to menu options

ROUND ROCK, Texas - Round Rock Express Baseball announced Monday a partnership that makes Southside Market & Barbeque the official sausage and barbeque of the Express through the 2014 season. Along with being the exclusive vendor at the Barbeque Shack located behind section 120 at The Dell Diamond, Southside Market & Barbeque also will be featured on the menus for the Intel Club, suites, hospitality and group areas, and the United Heritage Conference Center for all outside events.

Established in 1882, Southside Market & Barbeque is the oldest barbeque restaurant in Texas. Over the last 130 years, Southside Market & Barbeque has evolved from a one-man operation selling beef and pork from the back of a wagon to a Texas-sized restaurant and meat market with distribution of its branded barbeque products nationwide.

"We are extremely proud to partner with the Round Rock Express at The Dell Diamond," Southside Market & Barbeque CEO Bryan Bracewell said. Round Rock's 2012 season opens with an eight-game road trip April 5-12. The Express then return home for an eight-game home stand that begins with a four-game series April 13-16 against the Iowa Cubs.
