July 7, 2007
Brett Pill went 5-for-5 with three RBIs and Ben Snyder became the first 11-game winner in the South Atlantic League on Friday as the Augusta GreenJackets pounded the Hickory Crawdads, 9-0.

Pill, who didn't have more than three hits in a game this season, singled in the first inning before driving in Robert Felmy with a base hit in the third. The 22-year-old first baseman, who scored twice, also singled in the fifth, lined a base hit to right field to plate Emmanuel Burriss in the seventh and delivered an RBI double in the ninth.

The Cal State-Fullerton product is batting .331 (42-for-127) with 19 extra-base hits since June 1 to raise his average 32 points to .282.

Snyder (11-2) held the Crawdads (8-8) to six hits and a walk with three strikeouts over 5 1/3 scoreless innings to win his seventh straight start. Over his last three outings, the 21-year-old left-hander is 3-0 with 0.50 ERA, allowing 12 hits in 18 innings.

Robert Felmy went 2-for-3 with two walks, two stolen bases and two runs scored for the GreenJackets (10-6).

Jonel Pacheco had two of Hickory's six hits.

Dustin Craig (0-1) yielded five runs -- two earned -- on seven hits and two walks with a pair of strikeouts over four innings in his second start for the Crawdads.
