Idaho Falls' Robinson chucks up seven RBIs
The 22-year-old designated hitter belted a grand slam in the ninth inning, a two-run jack in the fifth and lined an RBI base hit in a seven-run third in which the Chukars sent 13 batters to the plate.
Robinson is batting .403 with four homers and 23 RBIs in 15 games for Idaho Falls. The sometime first baseman has six multi-hit games in his last seven games and is 15-for-31 (.484) in that span.
He set a career high with seven RBIs just two days after notching his previous career high with five RBIs in a 13-3 home win against Casper. Robinson also had reached a career high with four hits in a June 23 win over Orem.
Adrian Ortiz collected five hits and scored four times and Devery Van De Keere went 4-for-5 with three RBIs and three runs for the Chukars (14-6).
Idaho Falls starter Zachary Peterson (2-1) was charged with eight runs on 13 hits and one walk in seven innings in the win.
Matthew Wallach ripped a two-run homer in the second, Jovanny Rosario swatted a two-run dinger in the fifth and Alex Garabedian smacked a two-run shot in the eighth for the Raptors (11-9).
Ogden starter Kristopher Krise (1-1) surrendered eight runs on 11 hits without a walk in 2 1/3 frames.
