Ivany lifts Nats in 10

WILMINGTON, Del.- Devin Ivany capped a three-RBI game with a sacrifice fly in the 10th inning as visiting Potomac edged Wilmington, 7-6, on Saturday.

With the score tied, 6-6, Matt Rogelstad singled with one out and moved to third on consecutive wild pitches by reliever Arthur Santos (0-1).

Ivany followed by lifting a fly ball to center field. The 24-year-old catcher also had a run-scoring single in the third and another sacrifice fly in the fifth.

Rogelstad went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI for the Nationals (12-10).

Reliever Adam Carr (2-1) got the win, despite allowing a solo homer to Miguel Vega with two outs in the ninth. Clint Everts worked around a single in a scoreless 10th for his first save. Starter Craig Stammen allowed three runs -- two earned -- on eight hits and three walks while fanning two in 4 1/3 frames.

Blue Rocks starter Rowdy Hardy was bidding for his 12th win but surrendered five runs -- three earned -- on seven hits and a walk with four strikeouts over five innings. Yovany D'Amico struck out one in three perfect frames.

Vega went 3-for-4 for Wilmington (15-7). Brad McCann also had three hits and an RBI, while Brett Bigler went 2-for-4 with a run-scoring double.
