Promotions & Events Schedule Announced

Home schedule opens April 2 with Rangers exhibition

2012 PROMOTIONS & EVENTS SCHEDULE

ROUND ROCK, Texas - Round Rock Express Baseball announced its 2012 promotions and event schedule Thursday. In addition to several giveaway dates, postgame fireworks presented by Bud Light returns following Friday night games. The schedule also features five expos at the United Heritage Conference Center and four postgame concerts as part of the St. David's Round Rock Express Summer Concert Series presented by Dell.

Fans will get their first look at the 2012 squad April 2 when the Express host the two-time defending American League champion Texas Rangers at The Dell Diamond. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. CDT. Round Rock's 2012 regular season opens April 5 as the Express embark on an eight-game road trip with four games at Iowa (April 5-8) and four games at Omaha (April 9-12). The Express then return home April 13 to begin an eight-game home stand, featuring four-game series against those same teams.

Sunday Kids' Day presented by H-E-B are highlighted by Junior Sluggers member-only events on select Sundays such as on-field clinics, a biscuit Brothers concert and a team meet-and-greet. All kids age 12 and under are invited to run the bases following Sunday games.

Other daily specials include Monday $1 Hot Dogs and Sodas presented by Mrs Baird's, Winning Wednesdays presented by Texas Lottery, The Original Thirsty Thursday presented by Firetrol Protection Systems, and Friday Fireworks presented by Bud Light. New for the 2012 season is Two For Tuesdays; buy one ticket and get one free.
