Retherford, Jordan power White Sox

C. J. Retherford and Danny Jordan each homered and drove in three runs as Great Falls rolled to a 12-3 victory over visiting Orem on Monday.

Retherford plated two runs with his Pioneer League-leading 14th double in the second inning and belted a solo homer, his third, in the sixth. Jordan crushed a pinch-hit three-run shot, his third, in the eighth for the White Sox (19-8).

Christian Marrero hit a two-run homer, his second, and Salvador Sanchez also went deep with a man on in the sixth for his sixth of the year as Great Falls pounded out 13 hits.

White Sox starter Anthony Carter (3-1) yielded a run on five hits and two walks with two strikeouts in five innings.

Owlz starter Vladimir Veras (3-2) gave up six runs -- five earned -- on seven hits and three walks with one strikeout in 3 1/3 frames.

Jay Brossman, Jeremy Moore and Anel De Los Santos drove in the runs for Orem (13-14). --Denis Gorman/MLB.com
