"Werner Enterprises is proud to be the presenting sponsor for the Omaha Royals this year," said Fred Thayer, Werner Enterprises' Director of Corporate Communications. "We are excited Blake Shelton will perform for us and look forward to sharing this event with the Royals' fan base. We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy an evening of baseball, fireworks and Blake Shelton. This night is guaranteed to be 'Fun for Everyone'."
Shelton's fourth studio album entitled Pure BS and featuring the hit single "Don't Make Me" was released in May. He was just 21 years old in 1997 when his debut single, "Austin," stayed at Number 1 on Billboard's singles chart for five weeks, tying Billy Ray Cyrus' record for a debut single. Shelton also reached Number 1 for three weeks in 2003 with his single, "The Baby."
In 2004, he released the studio album Blake Shelton's Barn & Grill, which included the hits "Some Beach," "Goodbye Time" and "Nobody But Me."
Tickets for Friday's event may be purchased in person at the Royals ticket office at Rosenblatt Stadium, online at www.Oroyals.com and www.etix.com, or by calling (402) 738-5100.
