Tim Hudson to Pitch for the Rome Braves

April 4, 2012
The Rome Braves announce that Atlanta pitcher Tim Hudson is scheduled to pitch for the Rome team on Saturday April 7th in Charleston as part of a Major League rehabilitation assignment. The right-hander was placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 3, as he continues his recovery from back surgery performed in November.

"We welcome Tim to the Rome Braves as part of his rehabilitation process," says Rome General Manager Michael Dunn. "We hope to get him to the next step so he can get back and help out our major league team quickly."

If Hudson's experience is positive in Charleston, it is anticipated he will start for Rome again on Thursday April 12th for the 2012 home opener.
