August 5, 2007
Cody Johnson homered twice and drove in a career-high five runs Saturday, powering the Danville Braves to a 12-5 triumph over the Greeneville Astros.

Johnson walked in the first inning, ripped an RBI triple in the third, belted a three-run shot in the fifth and led off the eighth with his eighth homer as the Braves (29-12) cruised to their fourth win in five games.

The 18-year-old designated hitter had a four-RBI game in the Gulf Coast League on Aug. 12, 2006.

Javier Dominguez went 3-for-5 with a homer, three RBIs and three runs scored for Danville.

Jeffrey Locke (4-1) won for the third time in four starts after yielding two runs -- one earned -- on six hits with four strikeouts over five innings.

Andrew Launier went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Albert Cartwright also had two hits and drove in a run for the Astros (9-37).

Greeneville starter Fernando Abad (5-3) gave up two unearned runs on three hits and a walk with two strikeouts in two innings. He had won his previous three starts.
