Goodwill Night This Friday at Knights Stadium

Backpacks Given to First 1,500 Kids

FORT MILL, S.C. - August 7, 2007 - On Friday, August 10th, the Charlotte Knights will be working with Goodwill Industries to help provide clothes for those in need with a clothing drive that will take place outside the stadium starting at 5:30 p.m. and continuing through the Knights 7:15 p.m. game against the Richmond Braves.

Fans that bring five or more articles of clothing will receive a general admission voucher good for any Knights game, including that evening's game.

Also, fans who attend any of the Knights games from August 7th-9th will receive a Goodwill donation bag as they exit the stadium. Fans are encouraged to use the bags to donate clothes and bring to them to their local Goodwill store.

The Knights will also be using the August 10th game to help children ready to go back to school. The first 1,500 kids that enter the stadium will receive a backpack courtesy of Carolinas Medical Center and Levine's Children's Hospital. Gates will open at 6 p.m. for 7:15 p.m. game.
