Rosen scores sixth save

Cesar Nicolas and Josh Ford plated two runs apiece to lead Mobile to a 10-7 win at Mississippi on Friday.

Nicolas, who went 3-for-5 with two runs scored, belted a two-run single in the fourth and Ford delivered a two-run double in the sixth. Javier Brito went 3-for-5 with three runs scored for the Bay Bears (21-27).

Mobile starter Esmerling Vasquez (9-4) allowed four runs on eight hits over five innings, struck out four and walked two to win his sixth straight decision. Mark Rosen fanned five over the two scoreless innings for his sixth save.

Diory Hernandez went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and launched a two-run homer, his seventh, in the fifth, for the Braves (15-33).

Mississippi's Ryan Baerlocher (0-1) gave up seven runs on 11 hits over four innings with four strikeouts in his third start after going 2-4 in 10 games with Triple-A Richmond. --Michael Blinn/MLB.com
