FLO RIDA Grammy nominated artist Flo Rida will headline this year's show. He has made a name for himself with his slew of hits since his debut in 2008 with his Grammy nominated single "Low" which spent 10 weeks at # 1 on the charts. Flo Rida's most recent hits include "Good Feeling," featuring samples of Etta James, quickly became a top ten hit in 16 countries and claimed the #1 spot here in the US, while his newest single "Wild Ones" is steadily rising up the charts!
GYM CLASS HEROES
Will also be making an appearance to this years #KFEST stage. Recently back together as a group, they promise to bring all their hits including "Cupid's Chokehold," the groups first single which gained a lot of attention for its catchy lyrics as well as the video that followed which introduced a young Katy Perry and even helped them claim the moon man for Best New Artist that year at the MTV Video Music Awards. The group took some time off in 2009 where we saw front man, Travie McCoy; take the charts by storm with his single "Billionaire" with Bruno Mars and the follow up, "We'll Be Alright." Back together as a group, Gym Class Heroes has returned strong with hit after hit, "Stereo Hearts" which features Adam Levine from Maroon 5 landed a #4 spot on the charts and "A** Back Home" featuring another #KFEST artist, Neon Hitch is still working its way toward #1.
CARLY RAE JEPSEN
A newcomer this year to #KFEST is Justin Bieber's artist, Carly Rae Jepsen. Carly Rae's hit "Call Me Maybe" became a YouTube sensation over night when a video was released featuring the song being lip synced by members of Big Time Rush, Selina Gomez, Ashley Tinsdale and even Justin himself, it has reached 30 million views in just a month. The video sparked interest in the young singer from fans all around the world and not before long it was being played on radio as well. Carly Rae Jepson sits on the top of music charts around the world and is steadily climbing to #1 here in the US. "Call Me Maybe" is the #1 streamed song on Nielsen's Most Streamed with just under two million streams, which is more than any other artist!
KARMIN
Returning to the Hudson Valley for this years #KFEST is the amazing duo that is Karmin. Known for their start on YouTube, Karmin quickly took the world by storm when they dropped the covers and began releasing their own songs. "Crash Your Party" and their newest hit "Brokenhearted" which isn't going away any time soon!
DEV
"In The Dark" artist Dev will also be performing at #KFEST on June 3rd. Dev was introduced to the music scene when a sample of her song was used in Far East Movement's hit "Like A G6" which quickly reached #1 and saw over five million downloads in the country. She went on to release her first single "Bass Down Low" which quickly became a hit among rhythmic stations and landed at #1 on the Heatseekers chart. In March of 2011 Dev joined up with past #KFEST artist, New Boyz for their single "Backseat" which was a hot song of the spring and furthermore introducing the world to Dev. A few months later Dev released her second single "In The Dark," collaboration with fellow #KFEST artist, Flo Rida that peaked at #11 on the Billboard Charts. Her newest song, featuring Enrique Iglesias, "Naked" is the third from her newly released album The Night the Sun Came Up, is currently breaking into the scene.
NEON HITCH
Will be stopping by the #KFEST stage to perform with Gym Class Heroes and to also perform her hit single "Love You Betta." Neon Hitch was first discover on MySpace and flown out New York City where she was earned a record deal a few months later with Warner Brothers.
CHRIS RENE
K104 welcomes up and coming artist Chris Rene to #KFEST this year as well. Chris Rene is best known for competing in this first season of The X Factor here in the US. He made a name for himself by being one of the few performers to showcase his original compositions during the competition. Chris Rene's first single, "Young Homie" was just released this year and is steadily moving up the music charts.
HAVANA BROWN
Coming to the area for the first time is Australian DJ, singer and dancer, Havana Brown. Known around the world for her DJing, Brown made her musical debut as a recording artist last year with her single "We Run The Night" featuring Pitbull, which reached #1 on the US Hot Dance Club Song chart.
OUTASIGHT
Returning on June 3rd is "Tonight Is The Night" artist, Outasight. Both took stage this past December at K104's Not So Silent Night and we're invited back to showcase their new singles.
CHIDDY BANG
And alternative hip-hop artists, Chiddy Bang will be at #KFEST. Their first single "Mind Your Manners" is featured in the soundtrack for the EA Sports video Game Madden NFL 12. Chiddy Bang just recently released their debut studio album Breakfast in early 2012 and a single from the album "Ray Charles" which is helped sell over 49 thousand copies in the first few weeks!
